EXCLUSIVE! Billy Ray Cyrus Says Miley Cyrus Will Spend 2014 “Finding Her Purpose”

2013 was a crazy year for Miley Cyrus! Not only did the 21-year-old singer hit 99% of all headlines for her racy MTV VMAs performance and her “Wrecking Ball” music video, she caused quite a scene when she and Liam called off their engagement!

Well, watch out, because next year may be even crazier!

According to Miles’ father, Billy Ray Cyrus, he thinks she deserves to be Time Magazine’s People Of The Year, because she’s going to spend 2014 trying to find a purpose! And he will be there with her every step of the way.

In fact, Billy told our PopStop TV News Team exclusively at the red carpet of the Hollywood Christmas Parade that he is super proud of Miley for coming out of the shadow of a popular franchise like Hannah Montana. He dished, “As an artist, me seeing her evolve and see her come out of the shadows of something as huge as Hannah Montana, that’s a pretty big thing.”

He continued, “That’s easy for that monster to eclipse her career but remember, I’ve seen that shadow before from a monster and reinvention was the key for me. It just took a lot longer. It goes back to David Lynch, beginning acting and staying true to acting and music.”

He ended the interview by telling everyone to be careful of what they wish for. He advised, “Fame is a dangerous thing. Look at Paul. Look at some of the stars on the street. Look at Michael Jackson.”

The wisest thing to do is to find a purpose.
