Miley Cyrus To Become Time Magazine’s Person Of The Year?

Miley Cyrus Time Magazine Person Of the Year

Miley Cyrus is one of the biggest pop culture icons right now! None of us would’ve known about twerking, licking sledgehammers, playing around with foam fingers or swinging back and forth on a “Wrecking Ball” naked if it weren’t for her! But let’s be honest here… is all that enough to make her PERSON OF THE YEAR?

2013 may just be the year for Miley Cyrus!

The 21-year-old singer shocked the world at the 2013 MTV VMAs with her ratchet performance and we fully admire her consistency and dedication when it comes to embracing her inner twerk queen.

As if snagging 99% of the headlines weren’t enough, Miles is currently leading Time magazine’s polls to be person of the year!

That’s right! The “We Can’t Stop” singer is currently leading with 29.1%. The poll describes her as “The artist formerly known as Hannah Montana got tongues wagging – beyond her own – with a scantily clad, twerk-filled performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards and meme-able hit videos.”

Following second and third are Hindu nationalist, Narendra Modi, with 12.1% of the votes and NSA whistleblower, Edward Snowden, with 9.4% of the votes.

In addition to her dedicated fans, Miley also has a loyal supporter in her daddy – Billy Ray Cyrus!

XiXi from our PopStop TV News team caught up exclusively with the proud papa at the Hollywood Christmas Parade, and he gave some words of wisdom for Miles!

IF Miley does win, she’ll be the first female in 27 years to take home the prize! The last woman to win was Corazon Aquino, president of the Philippines back in 1986. Do you think Miley deserves the prize? Make it pop or make it stop?Hit the comments below and tweet us @PopStopTV.
