Nicholas Hoult finally breaks his silence on his now ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence and her infamous nude photo scandal.
The British actor was on the show, “Good Day New York,” promoting his movie “Young Ones,” when the host awkwardly said: “Speaking of friends, Jennifer Lawrence, she’s been making a lot of news lately because of the pictures that were hacked and I think they might have been pictures that sent to you.”
The actor didn’t even flinch, telling the host that “It’s shocking that things like that happen in the world. It’s a shame.”
Interestingly enough, the film “Young Ones” is directed by Gwyneth Paltrow’s brother Jake Paltrow. As you already know, Gwyneth’s ex-husband Chris Martin is dating Nicholas’ ex–Jennifer!
Jennifer hasn’t had the easiest few months since nude photos surfaced online, telling Vanity Fair that the photos really scared her. “I was just so afraid…I didn’t know how this would affect my career.”
In the Vanity Fair interview, she told the writer that she wanted to release a statement but changed her mind. “Every single thing that I tried to write made me cry or get angry. I started to write an apology, but I don’t have anything to say I’m sorry for. I was in a loving, healthy, great relationship [with Hoult] for four years. It was a long distance, and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn or he’s going to look at you.”
