1. One Direction performed for the first time before their major hiatus.

The boys are taking a well-deserved break, but before they do, they performed at the annual Billboard Holiday Party. Although it’s tough to see them off the stage for a bit, something tells us that they’ll be back stronger than ever.

Taylor Swift debuted her new music video for “Out of the Woods.”

2015 was the year of Taylor Swift, and it looks like 2016 is going to be as well. Before the ball dropped, Swift released the music video for her latest single off 1989 titled “Out of the Woods.” See Swift in her natural element (literally!):

Since its release, the video has acquired over six million likes, four hundred thousand likes, and went to #77 on the iTunes Bestselling Songs list. Not a bad way to close out 2015, Taylor.

There were performances galore by some of your favorite artists. The night began with Nick Jonas and his performance of “Levels.” Looking fierce in a leather jacket and black jean combo, the second-to-youngest Jonas brother celebrated his last performance of 2015 with a roaring crowd.

Alessia Cara was the next to take the stage, singing her chart-topping song “Here.” By the end of the performance, nobody was asking her what she was doing there, as she looked like a natural onstage. The hype continued with Fall Out Boy’s performance of “Uma Thurman.”

The feels started when Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa took the stage to sing their song “See You Again”, featured in Fast and Furious 7. We know that Charlie Puth is definitely someone we’ll be seeing again in 2016, as he gears up to release his debut album Nine Track Mind.

Other notable performances included songs from Pentatonix, Demi Lovato, One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, Andy Grammar, Carrie Underwood, Ellie Goulding, ToveLo, Rachel Platten and OMI.

Miss America 2016, Betty Cantrell, paid a visit to New York City to ring in the New Year with visitors from not only across the United States, but around the world! We are totally loving her warm weather attire and newly debuted short hair, which she cut this holiday season to donate for a wig for cancer patients. You go girl, leading by example!
